Renewing the card – refresher training
If your Occupational Safety Card is about to expire, you can renew it with a 4-hour refresher course, as long as it remains valid on the day of the training. The refresher is an efficient and concise way to update your knowledge and extend your card's validity for the next five years.
Occupational Safety Card as a digital mobile card – easy setup online
The digital version of the Occupational Safety Card, i.e., the mobile card, is activated in the Korttitieto service, which is maintained by the Centre for Occupational Safety (TTK) and the Finnish Association for Rescue Services (SPEK). The mobile card replaces the physical card completely after 2025, and it is just as valid as the physical version.
How to set up the Occupational Safety mobile card?
1. Go to mobiili.korttitieto.fi
2. Click "request a new password"
3. Add your email address (the same one you used for joining the Safety Card training)
and click "request a new password"
The mobile card will be available for use immediately after confirming the password sent to your email, usually on the same or the next business day

What is the Occupational Safety Card and why is it needed?
The Occupational Safety Card® is an official certificate showing that an employee has successfully completed basic occupational safety training. The card is often required on construction sites, in factories, warehouses, and other multi-employer workplaces . It improves workplace safety and standardizes safety practices.
How long is the Occupational Safety Card valid for?
The Occupational Safety Card is valid for five (5) years until the end of the month in which the training was completed. Once the validity period ends, the card must be renewed either through a 4-hour refresher course (if the card is still valid) or a 7-hour basic course.
How can I renew my Occupational Safety Card?
You can renew your Occupational Safety Card with a 4-hour refresher course if your current card is still valid. If your card has expired, you must retake the 7-hour basic training course. Both courses can be completed online or through classroom training.
Can I complete the Occupational Safety Card training online?
Yes. It is possible to complete the Occupational Safety Card training as an online course, for example via Microsoft Teams. All you need is a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a camera, a microphone, and a working internet connection.

Is the Occupational Safety Card available as a digital version?
