Blog Post
Are you planning to become a taxi driver in Finland, renew your taxi driving licence or start your own taxi business? Before getting started, you probably want to know how much the required training will cost.
Taxi industry training prices in Finland vary depending on the type of course, its duration and whether practical training is required.
A short refresher course generally costs less than a comprehensive taxi entrepreneur programme. Online training can also help reduce expenses by eliminating the need to travel to a training centre.
With new taxi training requirements introduced in 2026, understanding the different courses and their costs is more important than ever.
At Akkad Group Oy, taxi industry training prices range from €108 to €475 + VAT (25.5%), depending on the programme. The lowest price applies to a practical training component only, while longer courses include several days of instruction.
What Affects the Cost of Taxi Driver Training?
When comparing training prices, it is important to consider what is included in the course fee.
Some courses provide study materials, practice examinations and online learning resources. Others include practical exercises requiring in-person attendance.
You should also consider additional official fees, such as Traficom registration charges, examinations organised through Ajovarma and taxi driver licence application costs.
Choosing the right course depends on your professional situation, not simply on finding the lowest price.
